Her green eyes gazed into the distance, though Neiru wasn't really looking at all. Nodding absent-mindedly to the two male healers, the small white one and the taller tan one, they dismissed themselves from one of the first of many new lessons that the Silver-Light had been appointed to teach them. However, snapping out of the thoughts of, well she knew little of what, the rusty she-cat was certainly able to remember what vile task Aujir had set them for the oncoming storm of war.

Dipping her pale beech coloured paws into a small pool of water that trickled into her den then out again, the healer found it hard to wash of the flecks of sap stuck onto her furry mittens. She dared not lick it off, after seeing the powerful effects it had on the poor prey that had been dragged, still struggling to her den. The poor creature was now still, all whispers of life having evaded, or more like escaped the venom that had been pushed into it's jaws.
Venom. Poison. Death.
The guilt ridden she-cat shuddered. The silver-water told her the plan last night. To use her knowledge as a healer, and take out their enemies with poison. As if it wasn't bad enough that Neiru completely disagreed with the idea of this war.
Run away. Join the Rebellion. You don't have to suffer this. The thought was held always in her mind. The option. The coward's way from her personal fight. No, the rebellion were not cowards. However it was her duty as a healer to protect her tribe mates from sickness and injury. If she were to abandon them? Well she wouldn't be able to face them as their equal again, as no matter how dark the war, there would one day be peace. There always was. Spirits forbid that there wasn't.

Flicking her paws as each was lifted out of the cold winter water, she was about to pad back over to the remains of the Morning Glory and poppy seeds -if a cat was going to die, at least they could painlessly- that she had been mixing together, when a dark shadow caught her attention first. It was dark, tall and lean, contrasting against the light that filtered into the den. With the entrance blocked, she could hardly see. The figure remained still, except for the slight moving of it's chest as it breathed. Sitting down politely, Neiru's emerald green eyes stared into that of the Silver-Water. The two disjointed colours, so different to the gleaming blue ones of her younger time in leadership. Now they looked gaunt, hallow, but at the moment, a little psychotically happy.

“Neiru~ Have you made the poisons yet?”
A giddy, but cracked voice asked, a slight sing song voice, that only forebode the worst. However before the rusty she-cat could reply, her widened eyes picked up the clumps of matted red fur streak along some sides of the Siamese she-cat. What was worst was that it was... Fresh.
“Neiru! I asked you a question.. well?” The sing song tone was quickly replaced with a harsh command. Only just holding her dignity as to not flinch, the Silver-Light replied hastily.
“Sorry Aujir... The lesson went well, I've taught them about different poisonousness berries and flowers found nearby, which ones not to touch and I was just showing them the effect of the Morning Glory.. be careful to not get that on your paws, Aujir.” She ended, muttering the last bit. The maple she-cat only said the leader's name twice, to make sure it really was the leader she had once respected and admired as a normal healer.
“... Good. Next time.. make some more poisons.. less talking.” Said the haunted voice, almost like it was struggling to make a coherent sentence. Then before either of them could linger on this thought, the Silver-Water turned on her heel and began to stride away. In the autumn light, the red smears of dried blood became much more apparent and she could tell that it was even fresh. However she felt intimidated to try and use her tattoo to check if it was because the leader was seriously injured or if.. . Shuddering again, the Silver-healer raised her courage and asked trying to be a little more firm.
“Aujir. Would you like to tell me about why you are covered in blood?”

Almost like the rusty she-cat had snapped a branch, the Siamese leader froze to a halt, before, slowly turning one side of her face to look at ginger she-cat. Unfortunately it was Aujir's grey eye, which at the moment only made her sharp grin more psychotic looking.
“Would you like to end up the same fate?”

Fail story and picture combined! Anyway for those wondering what the Silver-Light is thinking about this here it is.
And those noobs who don't know what the Silver-Light is, let me explain below.

Once upon a time there was a tribe called Light tribe. They were magical and amazing. Then the golden butterfly got angry and killed them all. So the light spirit got turned into a little twinkly star. But there is still a cat chosen to be the leader of Light tribe. But since Light tribe was destroyed, instead they were made healers of all the tribes. The Silver-Light is equal to the other leaders, though being new Neiru doesn't really feel like that yet.

I do not own Aujir or TGB ~

I really love the dark atmosphere of this.
The way the colors seem to illuminate in the shadows is really compelling and beautiful, in my opinion.

And poor Neiru is so torn. :(
